Holland Farmers Market: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Holland Civic Center Place, 150 W. Eighth St., Holland. The Holland Farmers Market is located at the Eighth Street Market Place in downtown Holland and is home to over 75 vendors throughout the season. Local farmers offer freshly picked fruits and vegetables of every variety, beautiful bouquets of flowers and plants for home and garden. A wide variety of baked goods (including breads, pies and cookies), all natural honey and maple syrup and farm fresh cheese, eggs, and meats are also available, in addition to sweet treats, gourmet specialty foods and much, much more.

Butterflies Are Blooming: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, 1000 E Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids. As the season changes, the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory comes alive with the return of Fred & Dorothy Fichter Butterflies Are Blooming! This highly anticipated event, the largest temporary tropical butterfly exhibition in the United States, showcases the stunning diversity and intricate beauty of butterflies and moths. Butterflies Are Blooming invites visitors to celebrate the unique spectacle of lepidopteran flight and the exquisite patterns of their wings in the lush environment of the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory. A Stitch in Time Exhibit: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Coopersville Farm Museum and Event Center, 375 Main St., Coopersville. An exhibit to showcase a beautiful display of embroidery, both hand and machine, crewel work and cross stitch. In celebration of National Embroidery Month, the Crazy Ladies Quilting Circle is hosting a display to include embroidery, both machine and hand, crewel work, and cross stitch items from recently made to family heirlooms. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students. Groups of eight or more pay only $5 each with reservations. 

Saints and Syncretism in Global Christian Art: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kruizenga Art Museum, 271 Columbia Ave., Holland. Featuring 52 artworks ranging from the 15th to the 21st century, the exhibition explores how, as Christianity spread around the world, the qualities and attributes of Christian saints were often altered to better align with local religious practices and customs. The exhibition was curated by Hope College students working under the supervision of Art History Professor Dr. Anne Heath. The Kruizenga Art Museum functions as an educational resource for Hope College and the greater West Michigan community. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Salvador Dali: Memories of Surrealism: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kruizenga Art Museum, 271 Columbia Ave., Holland. Memories of Surrealism is a suite of twelve prints that Dali created in 1971 as a reflection on his long artistic career. The suite of prints was commissioned by Alex Rosenberg and published in New York by Transworld Art Corporation. French art critic Pierre Restany interviewed Dali about the prints and used the artist’s words to create an accompanying text for each image. Those accompanying texts are reproduced in the labels of this exhibition to convey the full Surrealistic effect of Dali’s art. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Morning Meditation Meet-up: 10:15-11:15 a.m. at 407 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven. Beginner and experienced meditators are invited to peaceful Saturday morning gatherings for reflection and connection. Each session begins with a short guided meditation, followed by shared insights based on prompts designed to inspire and support. Rooted in Theosophical principles, the group is non-denominational and welcomes all beliefs and faiths. Registration is encouraged but not required, and participants ages teen and up are welcome. Chairs are provided, but attendees may bring a pillow or mat for floor seating. 

Netherlands “Klok” Runs at Noon: Noon at Holland Museum, 31 W. 10th St., Holland. See the wonderful moving parts of the Netherlands “Klok” from the 1939 World’s Fair. The Klok runs on the first Saturday of every month at noon for one minute. Enjoy Holland's heritage at three museum sites, the Holland Museum and two newly restored house museums; the Cappon House and Settlers House. Elegant second floor galleries now house the museum's extensive Dutch Collection of Fine & Decorative Arts. On exhibit are 56 17th to 20th century Dutch paintings and more than 170 other cultural objects, from fine furniture, Delftware and silver to original Dutch costumes. Follow the story of our settlement in 1847 as it shows the development as a city of diverse people. All three sites are listed on the National Register of Historic places.

Chapel Choir Concert: 3-4:30 p.m. at Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts, Concert Hall, 221 Columbia Ave., Holland. 

Earth Encounters – Amazing Agates: 3-4:30 p.m. at 8115 West Olive Road, West Olive. Agates are a beautiful, naturally occurring mineral formation. Learn about the history of their use, how they are formed, and where you can find them. You’ll get to observe a variety of agates up close and take home your own hand-crafted agate.

Art at the Museum: 5-8 p.m. at 200 Washington Ave., Grand Haven. Join LVAC artists as they transform the Tri-Cities Historical Museum into a one-night art gallery filled with works by regional artists in all media. Following up on a successful fall show at the museum, they’re shifting to spring and looking forward to seeing everyone for live music, great art, and an evening in community with other art lovers. Their nonprofit partner for this show is local community radio WAWL, a part of the Tri-Cities Broadcasting Foundation. All door donations and 10% of artist sales to benefit WAWL.

Dance 51 is the Hope College Department of Dance annual concert featuring original choreography from the Hope College dance faculty, and performed by Hope dance students. This energetic and diverse dance performance displays the department's wide range of dance techniques offered, and is sure to leave audience members inspired. The theme for this year's performance is momentum, propelling the Hope College Dance Department's 51 year legacy into an exciting future. Noted for his “jaw dropping display of improvisational power,” jazz pianist and composer Michael Malis shares an intimate program of solo piano music entitled “Hold Close, Let Go.” The program is a response to SCA’s theme for 2025: Thrive. Middle East Focus of Expert Presentation: 1-2 p.m. at Herrick District Library, 300 S. River Ave., Holland. Holland’s International Relations Commission (IRC) will host international affairs experts Ghaith al-Omari. An expert on Middle Eastern affairs, al-Omari will discuss The Middle East in Transition as part of Great Decisions 2025, America’s largest annual discussion program on world affairs. Ghaith al-Omari, is a senior fellow in The Washington Institute's Irwin Levy Family Program on the U.S.-Israel Strategic Relationship. Several key issues dominate the Middle East, including the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, the fall of the Assad regime in Syria, ongoing civil wars in Yemen and Libya, and continuing regional antagonism from Iran. Introduction to Nonprofit Board Leadership: 3-5 p.m. at Central Park Place, 422 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven. The Introduction to Nonprofit Board Leadership two-part workshop offers guidance on the primary responsibilities for those currently serving on or planning to serve on nonprofit boards. Designed as an engaging experience, participants, regardless of experience, will become more knowledgeable about how the best boards operate, what is to be expected of board members, and how to become more strategic organizational leaders. Knee-high Naturalists: 10-11:30 a.m. at Outdoor Discovery Center, 4214 56th St., Holland. Knee-high naturalists introduces the wonders of the natural world to young children. Jane Martin won the 1982 American Theatre Critics Association Award for best regional play with the dramatic comedy, Talking With… This collection of extraordinary monologues will be Central Park Players’ first production of 2025. Morning Meditation Meet-up: 10:15-11:15 a.m. at 407 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven. Beginner and experienced meditators are invited to peaceful Saturday morning gatherings for reflection and connection. Each session begins with a short guided meditation, followed by shared insights based on prompts designed to inspire and support. Jane Martin won the 1982 American Theatre Critics Association Award for best regional play with the dramatic comedy, Talking With… This collection of extraordinary monologues will be Central Park Players’ first production of 2025. Prepared to be amused, moved, and frightened by its characters who always speak from the depths of their souls. These extraordinary monologues received a standing ovation at Louisville’s Actors Theatre. The play is composed of 11 10-minute monologues, each featuring a different woman who talks about her life. Heartless "A Tribute to Heart" with special guest Serita's Black Rose DUO: 8-11 p.m. at Park Theatre, 248 S. River Ave., Holland. Self-professed “Funkateer,” and award-winning singer Serita Crowley of Serita’s Black Rose from Grand Rapids Michigan brings a raucous mix of funk, rock, blues, neo-soul, and Americana. Serita, along with partner Jon Hayes are at its core, performing together for over two decades. As an acoustic duo or full band, they play much of the timeless “feel good music” from the ’60s and ’70s along with their own original songs. Their self-titled EP release in 2012 has won several awards including WYCE's Jammie Award for "Best Short Form Album." Homeschool program - Maple Sugarbush Season: 10 a.m.-noon at Van Raalte Farm, 1076 E. 16th St., Holland. Students will learn about the early signs of spring such as bird migrations and wildflowers. They will also learn about the parts of a tree and how trees make sap. Students may tap a tree or help gather sap to take to the evaporator. A Stitch in Time Exhibit: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Coopersville Farm Museum and Event Center, 375 Main St., Coopersville. An exhibit to showcase a beautiful display of embroidery, both hand and machine, crewel work, and cross stitch. Featuring 52 artworks ranging from the 15th to the 21st century, the exhibition explores how, as Christianity spread around the world, the qualities and attributes of Christian saints were often altered to better align with local religious practices and customs. The exhibition was curated by Hope College students working under the supervision of Art History Professor Dr. Anne Heath. The Kruizenga Art Museum functions as an educational resource for Hope College and the greater West Michigan community. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Memories of Surrealism is a suite of 12 prints that Dali created in 1971 as a reflection on his long artistic career. The suite of prints was commissioned by Alex Rosenberg and published in New York by Transworld Art Corporation. French art critic Pierre Restany interviewed Dali about the prints and used the artist’s words to create an accompanying text for each image. Those accompanying texts are reproduced in the labels of this exhibition to convey the full Surrealistic effect of Dali’s art. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

An exhibit to showcase a beautiful display of embroidery, both hand and machine, crewel work, and cross stitch. Saints and Syncretism in Global Christian Art: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kruizenga Art Museum, 271 Columbia Ave., Holland. Featuring 52 artworks ranging from the 15th to the 21st century, the exhibition explores how, as Christianity spread around the world, the qualities and attributes of Christian saints were often altered to better align with local religious practices and customs. The exhibition was curated by Hope College students working under the supervision of Art History Professor Dr. Anne Heath. The Kruizenga Art Museum functions as an educational resource for Hope College and the greater West Michigan community. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Memories of Surrealism is a suite of 12 prints that Dali created in 1971 as a reflection on his long artistic career. The suite of prints was commissioned by Alex Rosenberg and published in New York by Transworld Art Corporation. French art critic Pierre Restany interviewed Dali about the prints and used the artist’s words to create an accompanying text for each image. Those accompanying texts are reproduced in the labels of this exhibition to convey the full Surrealistic effect of Dali’s art. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Jane Martin won the 1982 American Theatre Critics Association Award for best regional play with the dramatic comedy, Talking With… This collection of extraordinary monologues will be Central Park Players’ first production of 2025. Prepared to be amused, moved, and frightened by its characters who always speak from the depths of their souls. These extraordinary monologues received a standing ovation at Louisville’s Actors Theatre. The play is composed of eleven ten-minute monologues, each featuring a different woman who talks about her life. Morning Meditation Meet-up: 10:15-11:15 a.m. at 407 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven. Beginner and experienced meditators are invited to peaceful Saturday morning gatherings for reflection and connection. Each session begins with a short guided meditation, followed by shared insights based on prompts designed to inspire and support. Rooted in Theosophical principles, the group is non-denominational and welcomes all beliefs and faiths. Registration is encouraged but not required, and participants ages teen and up are welcome. Featuring 52 artworks ranging from the 15th to the 21st century, the exhibition explores how, as Christianity spread around the world, the qualities and attributes of Christian saints were often altered to better align with local religious practices and customs. The exhibition was curated by Hope College students working under the supervision of Art History Professor Dr. Anne Heath. The Kruizenga Art Museum functions as an educational resource for Hope College and the greater West Michigan community. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Memories of Surrealism is a suite of 12 prints that Dali created in 1971 as a reflection on his long artistic career. The suite of prints was commissioned by Alex Rosenberg and published in New York by Transworld Art Corporation. French art critic Pierre Restany interviewed Dali about the prints and used the artist’s words to create an accompanying text for each image. Those accompanying texts are reproduced in the labels of this exhibition to convey the full Surrealistic effect of Dali’s art. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Women in Nature - Field Journals & Phenology: 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Outdoor Discovery Center, 4214 56th St., Holland. Women in Nature is a program series designed to motivate women to be more healthy, active and passionate about the natural world surrounding them. During this program, we will explore the use of field journaling to record phenology, observations of the natural world as seasons change. Participants will learn how to document the subtle transformations in the landscape, from the first spring bloom to the migration of birds, using their senses and creativity to engage deeply with the environment. This hands-on experience encourages mindfulness, connection, and the development of a personal record of nature’s rhythms, while fostering a sense of belonging in the outdoors. As the season changes, the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory comes alive with the return of Fred & Dorothy Fichter Butterflies Are Blooming. This highly anticipated event, the largest temporary tropical butterfly exhibition in the United States, showcases the stunning diversity and intricate beauty of butterflies and moths. Butterflies Are Blooming invites visitors to celebrate the unique spectacle of lepidopteran flight and the exquisite patterns of their wings in the lush environment of the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory. Knee-high naturalists: 10-11:30 a.m. at Outdoor Discovery Center, 4214 56th St, Holland. Knee-high naturalists introduce the wonders of the natural world to young children. Crafts, activities, books, snacks, live animals, and outside exploration will be incorporated into their nature-based learning experience. Parents can drop off their 4- to 6-year-old or stay with the class. Parents or guardians are asked to attend with their 3-year-old to help with bathroom use and transitioning into a group learning environment. Suggested age range is 3-6 years old. Saints and Syncretism in Global Christian Art: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kruizenga Art Museum, 271 Columbia Ave., Holland. Featuring 52 artworks ranging from the 15th to the 21st century, the exhibition explores how, as Christianity spread around the world, the qualities and attributes of Christian saints were often altered to better align with local religious practices and customs. The exhibition was curated by Hope College students working under the supervision of Art History Professor Dr. Anne Heath. The Kruizenga Art Museum functions as an educational resource for Hope College and the greater West Michigan community. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Salvador Dali: Memories of Surrealism: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kruizenga Art Museum, 271 Columbia Ave., Holland. Memories of Surrealism is a suite of 12 prints that Dali created in 1971 as a reflection on his long artistic career. The suite of prints was commissioned by Alex Rosenberg and published in New York by Transworld Art Corporation. French art critic Pierre Restany interviewed Dali about the prints and used the artist’s words to create an accompanying text for each image. Those accompanying texts are reproduced in the labels of this exhibition to convey the full Surrealistic effect of Dali’s art. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Knee-high naturalists: 10-11:30 a.m. at Dragonflies Discovery Preschool, 30 152nd Ave., Holland. Knee-high naturalists introduce the wonders of the natural world to young children. Featuring 52 artworks ranging from the 15th to the 21st century, the exhibition explores how, as Christianity spread around the world, the qualities and attributes of Christian saints were often altered to better align with local religious practices and customs. The exhibition was curated by Hope College students working under the supervision of Art History Professor Dr. Anne Heath. The Kruizenga Art Museum functions as an educational resource for Hope College and the greater West Michigan community. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Salvador Dali: Memories of Surrealism: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kruizenga Art Museum, 271 Columbia Ave., Holland. Memories of Surrealism is a suite of 12 prints that Dali created in 1971 as a reflection on his long artistic career. The suite of prints was commissioned by Alex Rosenberg and published in New York by Transworld Art Corporation. French art critic Pierre Restany interviewed Dali about the prints and used the artist’s words to create an accompanying text for each image. Those accompanying texts are reproduced in the labels of this exhibition to convey the full Surrealistic effect of Dali’s art. Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.

Morning Meditation Meet-up: 10:15-11:15 a.m. at 407 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven. Beginner and experienced meditators are invited to peaceful Saturday morning gatherings for reflection and connection. Each session begins with a short guided meditation, followed by shared insights based on prompts designed to inspire and support. Rooted in Theosophical principles, the group is non-denominational and welcomes all beliefs and faiths. Registration is encouraged but not required, and participants ages teen and up are welcome. Chairs are provided, but attendees may bring a pillow or mat for floor seating.

Gabriel Sanchez: The Prince Experience: 8-10 p.m. at Holland Civic Center Place, 150 W. Eighth St., Holland. Since 2002 Gabriel Sanchez has been portraying Prince in his critically acclaimed show The Prince Experience. What started off as Gabriel portraying Prince in a local theatre production of Purple Rain, has expanded into a full blown loving tribute to Prince.
