Dear Ottawa County employees, 

I value you, trust you, and appreciate what you do for the community. Every day you show up to serve the residents of Ottawa County and contribute to the beauty of our county. 

I deeply regret that the majority of this board is not listening to the concerns you expressed on a recent employee engagement survey. 

I can understand if you are fearing what the future holds, now that the interim administrator has the ability to hire, fire and discipline all employees. 

I am sorry that the past two years have been filled with chaos and uncertainty.

I hope that you are able to hang in for a little longer, at least until the election is over. But I respect and understand if you cannot. 

I, and many other residents, are grateful for your commitment to serving our community. Your skills, talents and experience are valued.
