On Wednesday, Feb. 26, a group of nearly 100 staged a protest in Holland, part of a nationwide effort protesting the Trump Administration’s push to gut federal health, education and human services agencies — as well as billionaire Elon Musk’s influence on drastic cuts.

Protests across the country have targeted congressional offices and Tesla dealerships — Musk is the CEO of the automotive company — with organizers hoping to send a pointed message to members of Congress.

Protestors have continued to rally at Huizenga's Holland office, saying they want him to host a town hall meeting with constituents; he hasn't had one since 2017.

"I wanted to know why Bill Huizenga doesn't have in-person townhalls," said Holland resident Jo Bird. "You go to his office and can't speak with a real person. They tell you to make an appointment on the website and then you never hear back."

Huizenga, however, is a little fish, Bird said.

"He's allowing Donald Trump to become a dictator. Why do you stand silently by as Trump tramples on the U.S. Constitution," she said. "Huizenga should be calling Trump out on all of this. It's just shameless."

Huizenga's office has not responded to ONN's request for comment.
